Battery Hold Down Bracket

The Armorit Battery Hold Down Bracket incorporates improvements that could mean the difference between mission success and failure. It has been re-engineered with high-strength composite material to withstand the extreme loads and environments the vehicle is subjected to in its mission to support and protect our soldiers.

• Composite Battery Hold Down Bracket is four times more durable than the production HMMWV aluminum retainer.
• The Bracket has been static load tested to over four tons.
• The material has been tested for performance characteristics at -50 degrees F. The tensile strength improves at cold temperatures.
• Material is non-conductive, eliminating a potential failure mode in the electrical system.
• No welded joints, eliminating fatigue cracks.
• Eliminates the need for exotic coatings; alodine,epoxy primer and CARC.
• Design employed Finite Element Analysis and Three-axis Vibration analysis.
• Applicability: All HMMWV models produced to date
• Independent load testing by third party laboratory,certified by AL2A.
• Embedded stainless steel friction plates at all four attachment points.
• Foreign shipments are subject to control requirements
