CNC Programmer and Designer -- Pro/NC

Armorit is a Florida based designer and manufacturer of defense systems and sub-systems seeks a qualified Model Maker / Class A Machinist. This is a contract position lasting 9 -12 months with potential to convert to a full time position. He / she will fabricate and assemble models from existing engineering designs and drawings. These designs will come to the candidate as 2-D and 3-D CAD drawings, and the candidate will assemble or machine components from these prints on manual machines and CNC machines utilizing CNC programming software.

The selected candidate MUST HAVE: At least a two-year technical Associates Degree or Technical School certification (desired) ; At least 3 - 5 years experience making complex components from 3-D models and 2-D drawings from a variety of materials ; CNC Programming and operation experience on prototype and low to medium production quantities (required) ; The selected candidate will be RESPONSIBLE FOR: producing and inspecting models and quantities using four and five - axis CNC machinery (Fanuc controls), wire EDM machine, CNC mills and lathes, and manual machinery.

The candidate will program, operate and assemble various models; Working from 3D CAD models to program and machine components to finished product using Pro E, and CNC programming software.
